Trekking excursion to Monte Nieddu

Discover the Monte Nieddu massif, between Padru and San Teodoro, through a fairly challenging trekking route, but which will allow you to discover the most beautiful attractions of this little-known mountain. An intense, rewarding and spectacular day in Pitrisconi, a place in the heart of the mountain that hides secret corners, between waterfalls and forests. Fun and breathtaking views, with sites that hide the secrets of an ancient culture, along the roads and paths, used by ancient charcoal burners and Sardinian shepherds, during the transhumance.
The day begins with the appointment, at the foot of Monte Nieddu, precisely in San Teodoro, or if you prefer with the transfer by off-road vehicle, which we will leave at the foot of the mountain and then continue on foot along the dirt road that goes up to Stazzo Pitrisconi, a route that winds between climbs and descents with significant differences in altitude and a duration of about 3 hours of trekking at a slow but constant pace.
Once we reach the refuge, the Pitrisconi stazzo, we will continue for about 20 minutes along a dirt path, and after having forded the Rio Pitrisconi, we will arrive at the large 20-meter waterfall and its natural pools, formed inside large granite basins, we will take a break and you can swim in the lakes, take photos and videos, and enjoy a bit of relaxation.
Once we return to the Pitrisconi stazzo, we will stop for about an hour and have a tasting in the shade of the pine forest, among the ruins of an ancient village, which has become a picnic area. It will be a typical Sardinian aperitif, based on Pane Carasau, sausage, “pecorino” cheese, all accompanied by a good glass of red wine, strictly Cannonau di Sardegna.
Immediately after, subject to agreement during the booking phase, we will resume the route, until we reach the Pala di Monti lookout, 610 meters, where we will make a further stop of 30 minutes. approximately, where you can take photos and videos and enjoy, weather permitting, a spectacular panorama, which includes the entire Monte Nieddu Massif, the island of Tavolara and Molara, the entire coast from Budoni to Porto San Paolo, the spectacular beaches with very white sand of Cinta, Lu Impostu, Cala Brandinchi and Capo Coda Cavallo.
Immediately after, you will return to the valley, where the jeeps were parked in the morning, to then return to the Hotel or your homes around 6 pm.
