Trekking excursion to Monte Moro

A day of easy trekking but of considerable naturalistic interest, among the suggestive granite towers and a beautiful Mediterranean scrub that in some places becomes almost a forest, a breathtaking panorama that embraces a good portion of the Gallura coast, ranging up to Corsica and on clear days, reaches Asinara to the West and Giglio Island to the North, continuing towards the famous beaches of the Costa Smeralda. There will also be time to visit Porto Cervo.

The day begins at 09. with the meeting in a previously agreed place, or with the transfer from the hotel or private home by car or minivan that will take us to the town of Abbiadori.

From here we will continue on foot, along one of the paths, which allow us to reach the summit of Monte Moro, which dominates Porto Cervo and the entire Costa Smeralda from above.

A pleasant hike through the Mediterranean scrub along a path of about 7 kilometers, for a total of 4 hours of walking and 430 meters of altitude difference. This relatively challenging route offers wonderful views and a panorama with few equals in all of Sardinia, at the top you will stop for about an hour with the possibility of doing and relaxing and then continue the walk and return to the foot of the mountain where an aperitif will be served, based on local products: Pane Carasau, Sausage, “Pecorino” cheese and Cannonau di Sardegna wine.

After the tasting, you will return to Abbiadori and if specified during the booking, you will make a short transfer until you reach a parking lot in the inlet of the Cala di Volpe hotel, where you will park the cars again to continue on foot on a dirt road, Costiera, for about 6\7 km, which runs along all the most beautiful and famous beaches in the area, Petra Lunga, Liscia Ruja, Razza di Juncu, Li Intriceddi, Rena Bianca.

During this Coastal walk immersed in nature you will have the opportunity to make a further stop of about 1 hour, so you can relax lying on the white sand of one of these beautiful beaches and take a regenerating dip in the crystal clear waters of this portion of the coast.

After the stop, you will proceed towards the clearing where the vehicles were left, and then return to the hotel or home around 6 pm.
